Cancelling My nitro indefinitely in the wake of NFT implementation

I've been using Discord for a long time now. It has by far become one of my most beloved chat apps to contact and talk to friends of mine that live all the way on the other side of the world, but I can't pretend that the news of Implementation of Blockchains and NFTs doesn't greatly disturb me.

As a game dev, gamer, and artist, I am incredibly disappointed to see something that perpetuates immense the carbon footprint of The Blockchain. I also cannot ever support NFT's after seeing fellow artists have their work stolen and sold by strangers.

Until I see a statement issued by discord regarding what they are going to do moving forwards I will be retracting my monetary support of discord indefinitely. It's my hope that your team will see the wishes of the posts being made in this forum and reconsider moving forwards with this.

Rest assured, if Discord reconsiders the implementation of Crypto tools and stops it I will immediately resub to discord nitro & all the additional server boosts I had paid for.
