disapproval of the introduction of crypto & ntf integration

Given the massive negative environmental impact that NTFs and crypto as a whole has on the earth, I, like many other users, am massively disappointed to hear about Discord's decision to introduce and support such unethical practices to the platform. Discord claims to be about supporting and fostering communities across the globe, yet in introducing the crypto craze to the platform after only asking a pro-crypto servers for feedback, I can't help but feel cheated.

The only ones who benefit from the introduction of crypto are crypto supporters. Vast numbers of gamers are unable to get parts for their rigs because of the rise in crypto & its need for graphics cards and other parts driving up the prices to ridiculous heights. Meanwhile countless artists have their art stolen every day and turned into NTFs against their will. Both artists and gamers have built massive communities and countless subcommunities on Discord, yet, for some reason, Discord is willing to disregard the struggles of a large portion of their userbases in favor of appealing to the crypto crowd. 

How can Discord hope to claim that it's about fostering global communities when its now actively collaborating with entities that are carelessly and ceaselessly destroying the global environment for jpgs and currency with no real value?
