Starting events - Joining VC
When starting an event, you automatically get connected to the assigned VC channel.
Why?
It's literally the most annoying thing. And when you end the call, you get a pop-up that asks you if you want to end the event too, which, if you're in panic after being dropped into a VC without meaning to, you'll just confirm and end the event.

Nicolas this has nothing to do with my feedback.

Wilco It is normal that there is that is because when one makes an event, the one who created it must be present, it is logical after all and then it is enough to put not to stop the event and then there you go

Why does the creator have to be present?
What good reason is there for that.
EDIT: Minor spelling/grammar fixes.0 -
Doken When I say the creator, I mean the one who created the event.
Because I think the staff at Discord believed that the person who created the event is bound to be there I guess.

I get how it works now, but this is the feedback forum. The whole point of it is suggest improvements, not to repeat how things work right now. Just because a feature works in a certain way does not necessarily mean it is perfection incarnate and cannot be improved in any way.
I don't share the opinion that the creator of the event has to be there, especially in servers where control over event creation is more tightly controlled.
What happens if one person creates multiple events at once, how does Discord handle that?
Do we suddenly allow people to sit in multiple voice channels at once, or do we terminate the other events based on whichever one triggered last in a possible underterministic fashion?0 -
For the questions, I think Discord accepts two events for the same vocal room.
And for the events in general, it is quite possible to have several. Doken
