(Hacked account) Another case of poor customer support…

I fell for the ‘can you try this game I made’ scam from a friend whose account was compromised by a hacker. After falling victim to this popular scam, the hacker ran rampant through my friends list and large community server attempting to scam as many people as possible. Then they attempted to drain my PayPal in Discord nitro gifts. I submitted a ticket as quickly as I could which was around noon on 11/19/21. A few hours later I heard back from ‘Jawhar’ that my ticket was being escalated which gave me hope. After sitting here for 3 days that hope has slowly faded. Even more so after scanning the forums here and seeing many others have been waiting much longer than me for a response. I am willing to wait longer, I just hope to receive a helpful response eventually. I will keep this post updated if they do end up responding and the time I waited. If you have been hacked and Discord helped you get your account back, please comment below how long it took them to get back to you, I’m genuinely curious how long people typically wait IF they get their account back at all.

    Update, I got an email back from support helping me get my account back. I created my ticket on 11/19/21 and received a response about 3 hours later. The next response came about 4 days later. I think that the delayed response time in my situation was due to the weekend. My advice if you are looking to get your account back is:

    1. Only create one ticket, don't create multiple unless you don't receive a response to your first ticket within 24-48 hours.

    2. If you really want to make sure they are still paying attention to your ticket, post a reply to the current active ticket in your email asking for an update on the progress towards resolving your issue.

    3. Be patient. I should've taken my own advice here before complaining about bad customer support, I apologize to Discord for that. 

    Good luck getting your accounts back everyone, I immediately enabled 2 factor authentication as soon as I got my account back!
