Blocked users should not be able to ping or use the reply feature on your messages.

Simple as that. I have people who flat out ignore boundaries and try to continue chatting in public servers while they're blocked. I even get pings sometimes. They shouldn't be allowed to do so. They are blocked for a reason. Their ability to reply or @ me should not be allowed.

  i would prefer this to be a setting you can opt into, but it'd be nice to have one way or another.

  I disagree, although you shouldn't be notified when pinged, and it is your choice to click on blocked messages. Blocked members have a right to the general conversation.
