please fix phone number verification

i literally got locked out due to "suspicious activity" a few days ago for no literal reason and when i put my phone number in (MULTIPLE TIMES MIGHT I ADD) i still never got a message

please just fix this for gods sake

  Yeah same here. The thing is, this issue has been around for a few months if not years now and it STILL hasn't been fixed it. Why are they forcing us to verify thru phone number??? It's so frustrating and no one from Discord Staff is replying to posts related to phone verification. Wtf?!

  Same thing here, although Support was kind enough to inform me I was probably using a VPN or Proxy that shared ID with a "bad actor" even though I've never touched a VPN or Proxy in my life.

  By the way, can companies make money collecting and selling customer telephone numbers?  ...Not that Discord would ever ever do such a thing no matter how overzealous they are about getting mine.
