Thread Split View

Currently there is an option to 'Open threads in split view'. This functions when a thread is created, clicking the name of the thread in the general chat will allow you to join and have the original channel on the left with the thread visible on the right to be able to chat in both freely.

However, you can only see this split view if you join through the chat notification that a thread was created. Attempting to see the split view by joining the active thread through the threads menu or the listing created beneath the channel will force you into a singular view of the thread.

I would like for a button to allow for threads opened through any method to open that split view.

    This is much later but I agree 100%. Opening split threads should be universal if the user's settings are set to do so, and should not depend on 'how' threads are clicked on/tapped.
