Please allow RECIPIENTS to block pings from REPLIES

A small off-topic note first: users should be aware, that the default sorting for these feedback forums is “new posts”, which means, anything relevant you post (regardless of how many people reply) is probably being pushed off the page and ignored. You can sort this forum by “activity”, but is this even helping things get noticed if your average person has to know to do this? I could only hope that the discord devs sort it by activity, and see how many people complain about issues, instead of letting new posts quickly sink to the bottom.

With that said, I'm creating a new post myself of an issue that many other users have posted dozens of times, and went unheard. I also submitted a bug report months ago, which probably went unread by devs.

Lots of people in that post (and MANY other similar posts), have been upset for years, that you can't block ping notifications from replies. And AFAIK there is still no way to do this? 3 years now, and still nothing.

And the answer of “people can toggle off the ping when replying”, doesn't help the users receiving the pings.

Currently, as an admin, you can use Auto-mod to block @ mention pings to your specific user (which is helpful.) However.. it DOES NOT WORK on the reply pings. I would prefer this method is fixed, as it allows you to only block certain roles, while still allowing specific roles to ping you.

As an admin/user I'd like to see 2 things:

1> Let admins completely block pings from certain roles (i.e. only receive pings from veteran/moderator roles, etc. who you declare.)

2> Give all users the option to block ALL pings (including replies!!!)

Please, address this problem already.
