Fixing 2FA

There are people that have used Google Authenticator and have lost their two factor code and now they can't access their discord account (Unfortunately, I lost my other account which was the main one) because of their phone being destroyed and them not being able to take out the data properly. 

I think in the next Discord update the Discord Team should completely remove Two Factor Authentication from Discord so people can get their accounts back. Then when the team finds a way for the users to get their lost account back if it ever happens again, they can add it back without it connected to any authentication app so the users that want to use 2FA can continue to use it.

    I lost my 8 years old account. ;( 2FA made it so safe that even I myself can not log in anymore…

    Yup. Like if we want discord to give us our accounts back we would have to sue them in order to do so

    This issue has been ongoing for 5 YEARS NOW, the solution is so simple but they just refused to do anything. Like cmon, I can provide loads of evidence that the account is mine (email is connected + number + numerous messages in my gmail).

    I saw some people's post  in twitter getting hack with 2FA on and discord managing to help them get it back, like why can't you do the same for us man.

    You get a phone upgrade, change your number and now you can’t get your discord account back. both microsoft  support is ass and discord support, but microsoft is worse since they couldn’t get my 2fa account either

    This is ridiculous. I've sent emails to them since 2022, and they send me the same automated garbage! If this has been a problem for so long (which it has), surely Discord is ignoring us (and laughing at us for being angry). Absolutely pathetic, Discord. Pull yourselves together and stop playing games.

    Skeppy8924, just to be clear, you know that google authenticator backs up to your google account to prevent getting locked out of accounts
