What are Discord Official Messages?
Discord Official Messages are messages that we send to alert you of an account issue.
These messages can range from a variety of Payment issues, Support Ticket Updates, and ToS Violation Warnings.
Note: Discord will never ask you for your password or account token.
How to Verify the Message is From Discord?
There are few ways to confirm that the message you're receiving is really from Discord:
1. Messages from Discord will always have the OFFICIAL badge in the member list.

2. The start of your direct message (DM) with Discord will have special text informing you that this is an official message.
3. The message from Discord will also have the OFFICIAL badge inside the DM.
4. You cannot reply to Official Messages from Discord, and will see a banner across the bottom of the message blocking chat input.
You can learn more about the Official Messages from Discord by taking a look at the Discord Updates profile. On desktop, right-click Discord Updates within the DM list or DM > Profile. If you are on mobile, long-press Discord Updates > Profile.
Urgent Messages
Urgent messages will also come with an in-app popup to alert you that you have a new message to read.
