Discord says i am at the server limit even when i'm in under 100 servers

So i've been TRYING to join a new discord server for the past week or so but it won't let me join any new servers saying "you've hit the server limit" even when i left a few. I did go over the limit when my Nitro expired so are they just hyper determined to get me to buy nitro again or this is a common bug.
