I just created my account and naturally I was greeted by the app telling me in a bot and it needs me to verify, so I gladly go to my email and verify that I am in fact not a robot. But that wasn’t good enough, about 20 seconds later now it demands a phone number because obviously me verifying my email was definitely a bot doing it. I do not own a smartphone so please change this.

  I agree. If Discord wants a phone number - it should request it at the registration, or not at all.
