hacked account

my account was hacked after i downloaded a file (dumb i know) and the hacker wants me to pay $150 over paypal for my account to be returned. if i dont pay the money then he will sell my personal information (my phone number, all my emails, my name, my age, my accounts and all their passwords across several different platforms. i dont know if he has my address but he can pull up whatever new emails i have) i really dont know what to do. i already sent a report to discord but idk what they can do because they responded saying they can suspend my account but if they do that he will sell my information. please help me

    Paying them would make the attacker continue to do such things.
    The best you can probably do is not pay them and make sure to regain access to your email address, reset all passwords from accounts you have and lock them out everywhere.
    I am guessing you fell for something like "hey, try my new game" and downloaded a redline stealer or something like BBY.RIP (discord token stealer).
    You should also contact discord via email or the "submit a request" button so they can lock the attacker out of yiur account if you can't do that.

    if you still have access to your e-mail, you probably can get your account back even if they changed your e-mail.
