Discord what the hell is wrong with you??? DO NOT go through with the username change, its awful.

Since I emailed support and its basically a non human running that stuff now...

I'll summarize here:

Do you know how AWFUL of an idea this is??? This not only will make Discord more bland, but also take away a feature unique to Discord, and will take away something I PAID FOR with nitro!

You’re all about money, so don’t come crying when no one likes this abhorrent change to usernames and everyone starts to cancel their nitro.

Do not change how the usernames function, no one likes this and itll only make things worse.

I and many others do not support this change, especially since username sniping and whatnot will become more prevalent, as well as account h*cking and impersonation going through the roof. I would love for this to be optional only, because a lot of people including myself, dont want to fight for the same username and most likely will not get it due to it being first come first serve, as an example, my account was made in 2017, but an account from 2015 will probably snap up my username and i'll be shit out of luck.

I will most likely cancel my nitro (which is the more expensive one) if this change goes through, as it is useless and there isnt even ONE positive to this change at all. In addition to that, I PAID for my discriminator to be what I set it to, so its taking another feature away from nitro users.

I just dont want my username to change because I know its going to be snapped up by some hacker with a bunch of b*tted accounts from 2015... plus, its much easier with how the current system works anyways, esp when adding friends since you'll usually have it written down or share a server with them.
