The username changes are utterly meritless.
You're removing discriminators because less than half of the users find them confusing or hard to remember. I'll ignore that your evidence is worthless as empirical evidence and move on as if your assertions are sound.
You say that less than half of users don't remember discriminators or don't even know what they are. Why should we remember it? I can count the number of times I've added someone that didn't share a server with me on half of one hand. It's like a credit card number, there's no point in remembering it these days.
You say that with the discriminator system you don't get to have Josh because there are already ten thousand accounts named Josh. The new system would, and follow me here I know you have a hard time with logical thinking, the new system would reduce that number to one. That's right, the new system exacerbates a problem you're trying to solve. I'd recommend adding two digits to the discriminator if you really want to let more people be Josh.
You think that because we can change server profiles that the problem is fine. That we can set our default server profile to something else. But gues what, my account won't be Domine like I want it to be, it'll be XxXDomine67895XxX, and you'll make me hide that with server nicknames. This sucks.
You [pretend to understand that our names are identity, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Discord employees don't have to risk their usernames getting snagged by some asshat who wrote a bot to take all the good names first.
Stop trying to be twitter. I'm here because you aren't. The closer you get to that the closer I get to cancelling nitro and deleting my account.

After like fifteen minutes of thought, I have cancelled my nitro subscription. Hit the wallet to prevent fuckups, not to fix them.

Already cancelled my nitro pending them backing down on this change. I don't appreciate being talked to like I'm stupid, especially when I'm being fed a line of bullshit like this.
