I could've made a several paragraph long post about this topic, but this thread wonderfully sums up a vast majority of the problems with this change.
The problem isn't impersonation, but the fact that it's so piss-easy to mess with discord in ways that allow the click of a single link or image to let you lose ownership of your entire account and potentially everything even remotely attached to it.
Fix the actual problems instead of doing this dumb, useless change that takes a step backwards in development.

I'm glad to see how many people are calling out this profoundly stupid decision and cancelling their nitro in response. I cancelled mine right away and now I'm commenting on every single thread on this topic. I only wish I could be more annoying to the right people
