The username change is about as backwards as it gets

Currently, due to the methodology surrounding usernames, we can have at most 10000 accounts with the same name. Considering how many people will share a name, or share a username in this case, removing the delimiter limits creativity in usernames and will force people to endlessly add numbers/letters until it eventually sticks, making a far bigger mess than the delimiter ever will.
