Terrible Account Recovery.
Note; I had lost my Google 2FA Account when my previous phone broke. I mean broke-broke, this thing wouldn't work at all. -- Insult to injury, it looks like I deleted the text file with recovery codes by accident somewhere down the line.
Last night it seems there was a data breach somewhere, and I was changing passwords to help with Google's notifications about some of mine being compromised. When I got on my computer today, I was automatically logged out of Discord, so I had assumed maybe someone got in, or tried something. To just take safety into precaution, I reset my password. This ends up logging me out of both my phone and computer. This is now where I learned I don't have my recovery code text file anymore.
I send an e-mail explaining this whole situation, and as expected get a bot response. I knew it wouldn't help me, so I asked for actual help from a person and to continue my ticket. I get an e-mail from support that pretty much says "Oh well, suck it up, delete your current account and make a new one."
No attempt to actually help, nothing. What a lazy move. Just delete the years old account, lost contact with tons of other people, lost tons of saved files/pinned messages.. Lost aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall this nice stuff.. Because "we can't just reset it for you."
Best of all, to write this support message, I had to log in, and it automatically let me in on here.
