Discord adding friends majorly broken

been spending the last 4 days trying to get friends added on discord and on both sides it has the same error message saying that they don't exist, check capitalization etc. But its exactly what their name and my name is and still says its wrong on every platform

    you could try to use the user id
    (You need developer options to be enabled)

    right click yourself, copy the id.

    then insert the id into

    discord.com/users/ < here the id

    and open this link on the other side. normaly the user info screen should pop out and you should be able to add the person.

     

    BUT: I've read often about this problem since quite a time now. Maybe it is a bug.

    Join discord.gg/discord-testers to see what bugs appeared and what bug got fixed already.
