Can't copy images by right clicking

I right click on the image in discord, it brings up the menu that says "copy image" or "save image" etc, but when I click on "copy image" it just gives me a little pop up window that says "Error unable to copy image preview" this is a completely new problem and I have no idea why it started.

It is most likely the newest discord update that has a bug.
I have found a solution to copy images.
When you click on a picture you should see a button in the bottom left corner of the picture saying "Open Original".
Doing so will open up the image in a web browser, from there you just copy and paste and it should work.0 -
Any idea when this might be fixed?

Kind of a shot in the dark, but worked for me and one other person.
Just straight up ALT + F4 discord. Like, kill it, hard. Then open it again and copying starts working.
No idea how that fixed it for me, but it did.

i found if you go to settings, text and image, turn off preview emojis, mentions. if that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall after. hopefully it works for you.

hello there!
i just had this problem, and i found the way to fix it.
for windows users, first right click the task bar, open up task manager, and scroll down to find discord. there will be multiple "discords" open, click the one that's taking up the most space and end the task. all the other discords should go away. then, reopen discord, and it should work. if not, try reinstalling it or reloading it (by pressing ctrl + r).
for mac users, close discord, and reopen it. if that doesn't work, shut down your mac and reopen discord. if that also doesn't work, reload discord, or reinstall it.
all the other methods work, but this one actually gets you to copy images!0 -
i just press alt+f4 and it works

Hey guys, figured I'd give you an easy work around. Click the image you want to copy. On the lower left of the image it says Open Original (or as someone described you can right click and open link) This will open the image in your browser. From there you can copy no problem! (I know it's not ideal, but it works!)

Hello guys, i've seen people talking about pressing alt+f4 , first i thought they were joking, but ive tried it and it really works.
if you have discord opened, just press alt+f4 on your keyboard and reopen discord.1 -
YALL I FIGURED IT OUT!!! You need to open up the original, do a right click, and then click 'Save Image As..' works with Norton I tried ;D

Did Alt + F4. Very strange fix

I've asked around and went to other places, and it seems like pressing Alt-F4 fixes the bug. I tried it and it worked for me, never knew those two keys would be useful for something one day. How ironic.

Been having this issue for *ages,* but ended up coming across this because the app started claiming it doesn't have storage permissions when it absolutely does.
I'll be darned if the Alt+F4 thing didn't do the trick. Now to fix the app xD0 -
I found a fix that worked for me, do Alt + F4 and it should close your discord out to update stuff and I tested it out after and it works fine now

i was having the same problem try right clicking and hitting open link it should open the image in a window then right click the image in that window and you should be able to use the copy image and save image options again
