Stage Channels Video Chat and Screen Sharing

At this very moment stage channels seem already very restricted as I cannot share my screen

It would open the use of stage channels a lot and make them versatile

    +1 here. That was the first thing that came up to my mind when I heard about stage channels. Speakers should have option to share their screen or at least stream video from camera, that would make sense

    They should have it as an option as to what permissions have access to screen sharing or if everyone that can talk can screen share.

    This is very important because right now stage channels are practically useless for events

    We shouldn't even ask for this, it should be obvious. Stage channels could be used for streaming, so not being able to share your screen makes them 70% useless.

    Just to add - we've been using the stage channels as a way for users to pop in and out and listen to our D&D sessions, which is a beautiful setup, but PLEASE just let us share at least one screen so users can see a map / presentation info / just one visual aid

    This would be a good option for a lot of things, definitely when only the 'speaker' is able to share their screen, or the 'host' since there could be multiple speakers.

    Completely agree. Unfortunately, this feature is unusable for my organization's application so long as it lacks video support.

    So close to being discord's best feature!

    Honestly was surprised that it wasn't instantly implemented. Me and my pals were instantly disappointed to see that we couldn't implement it for art streams. Or atleast having it so that if someone wants to stream, it gets thrown into the "Requests to Speak" area, and you can confirm the screenshare or not

    Yes please, Discord! I'm part of an educational server that hosts public lectures on a regular basis, and Stages would be perfect for us... except the lecturer can't share their screen to show their powerpoint, so we can't use it after all.

    This would be awesome, as it can be used for official club meetings to show financial stati or have pen and paper sessions with audience, as well as educational purposes! The screen sharing feature in Discord itself is highly useful and in combination with these Stages it would be perfect!

    to be honest, I don't see any use for stages WITHOUT screen sharing. If voice channels already have it, why not Stages? Makes absolutely no sense!
