Be sure to understand, that discord doesn't properly answer you for appeals.

As Shawn says, they don't properly answer you, at least in my case.

I've emailed them over the past month attempting to save my account from being deleted. The account broke no terms or guidelines, discord aren't interested in discussing this with me. Instead they are stone walling me with the Clyde bot response.

So today I emailed them, support@discord.com, from a second email account. I had a response from a human within 5 minutes who couldn't help me, because I have to use the proper account. It's about security, okay sure. But why am I then being left for days without a response when I use my real email address, and then ultimately get a response from the bot? They are fully aware of my attempts to contact them, they are purposely refusing to respond to this.

This is why I'm not going anywhere, not until I've received an apology and a proper look into my ban. I'll also be sure to keep others informed that they have a right to appeal and receive a decent, human response.

Ps. Google "Discord CEO email address" to get Jason's address which he shares himself and let him know how his support teams treat genuine users like trash.

As someone that pays for the discord Nitro to help support the platform to make it better, I find the lack of human support appalling, to allow for “mass report” not to be detected as a trolling method to attack and harass you and the community even more.

The methods and steps taken to reach out to their support team should have been noticed and should have escalated your ticket to be resolved with some sort of human to human resolution. With a platform this popular, safety and community support should be a priority to keep long term good standing accounts safe from malicious attempts to harass someone.

I hope your situation gets looked at closer and helps their teams to be more aware of these issues. It is sad to see someone trying to protect a community being punished by harassers and internet trolls.

I was banned because I threatened to report a user from my server to his local police.

Threatening anyone on Discord is against Discord's policies.
I fail to see how Discord's support team is in the wrong here.

Hey Exaltyan, maybe you missed the part where this person threatened me and my community with hacking, doxing and more. Was he banned? No. Was I banned for telling him that I was going to report him to the police if he does not stop? Yes. Tell me how I'm in the wrong and how Discord is not. Don't get involved if you aren't here to support your fellow users, the Discord support team are not in the right and when the day comes that you need assistance from them, you just might not get it.

As I have said before, not enough people read this forum. Since you seem to be more determined than most of us, the users who have been greatly mistreated, take the initiative to go public! Instead of just "bothering" people who won't ever reply to you, the Support Team, and the CEO, why don't you write articles about it instead? Letters to relative media and some editing on Wikipedia article about Discord, under the section Controversies. Just make sure to gather as many links as you can from forum complainers because without enough references your edition will be removed or questioned by regular Wikipedia contributors.

The vast majority of Discord users are gamers. I suspect this might be one of the reasons why Discord Ink. don't take us as seriously as we deserve. They probably think we are all just stupid kids. Personally, I was never been a hardcore gamer and thus, never been a Discord user until Discord, during covid pandemia, decided to expand to more communities than just gaming ones. If Discord Ink. wants serious users, they should start treating us all seriously or they undermine their very own attempt of expansion. And if they don't get it by us, the forum members, and (ex?) loyal users, telling them so, here on this frum, then maybe they will get it if they read it on third party public media.

I would do it myself, but I'm relatively new here. I have nothing to lose if I just delete my account and never ever waste my time with Discord again. I haven't invested much time, effort, or money like many of you. I'm just a disgusted newcomer. I came, checked Discord as an alternative to Skype and it simply failed to serve me. I'm actually more sorry for the people who had invested time.

Hey again Tecraus, everything you said sounds about right. Especially since I've been pushing for almost a month now for a response, I've given Discord the opportunity to respond and they've shown they aren't interested. I'll look into making more users aware of these issues for sure. I just can't let a company that I've supported for so long suddenly decide to turn their back on me, because if they're doing it to me then they're doing it to others.

My buddy had his Discord Account suddenly disabled on the 16th for "violating ToS or Guidelines" and when he tried an appeal he only got one bot message. He's been trying since to reach out to Discord and the Support to get it restored but nothing.

He's been getting stalked, harassed, threatened and defamed for the last 8 months and the only reason Discord never even heard about it is because he didn't want to report those users. I asked him to, while he still is registered with his email, at least report those people but he says he doesn't "want a war or more drama".

He used Discord since late 2017, bought Nitro, gifted it away. The last week he's just been sad and anxious. Trust & Safety? This whole system is neither.
