Hello, I have been using discord since 2017. (from Russia, so sorry for the bad translation. If something is not clear, please contact me).

For all the time I understood only one thing, with small servers with 10 roles and simple ideas (participant-admin) there are no problems, and when using large servers with 200+ roles and a large number of complex schemes and ideas, problems with the regulation of rights get drunk.

First, it is not possible to edit multiple roles at the same time.

Secondly, it is not possible to copy role settings.

And most importantly, role zoning. so for example, you can configure the right to manage roles, and this role will be able to edit all roles below itself, even if the creator does not need it, when creating white zones or groups (as with voice and text channels), then it will be possible to configure who can manage the role , roles in a group or globally on the entire server.

This function will greatly improve the use of discord, those who want to use discord according to the standard may not create groups and use standard logic for roles, and for those who need this functionality, they will be able to completely and ideally configure their server (including me).

    As I have seen discord is updating the role menu quite a bit and I hope they approve this suggestion with group categories! It looks dope and is way easier for role organization in the app!

    The roles interface only shows the new version of your server's been created after November/December 2020, I believe, or the menu will update at random.
