How does Discord delete servers?

Hi. A server I helped run was inexplicably deleted very recently. The best reason I have is that we were reported to Discord and had our server deleted. I'm pretty sure we were reported for harassment to Discord earlier, for reasons that I can't imagine would be sufficient to have a server deleted, even if the harassment had actually occurred.

I know server deletions are permanent, and I've gotten past that. However, will the server owner receive some indication of when and why the server was deleted? Is our platform with >100 members gone, and we don't even know why or what oversight there was over the decision?

On that note, the person who was concerned about issues of harassment claimed to be some sort of Discord platform admin. Is there such a thing? Can a Discord server be deleted by someone who is not the owner without a proper reporting process?
