server ownership transfer for small server

Is there any way to get server ownership over small servers? I did send in a request but it was denied because the server was too small/the owner was logged in recently. The owner was hacked and then banned for violating TOS, and has only received bot replies to his appeals. He's lost his personal server to log his work stuff as well as access to two other important servers. This is a last resort kind of thing because we've seriously used discord for nearly 5 years now as our main friend group chat and we have so much stuff including messages from a deceased friend that we would really like to keep.

I really wish discord would at least warn people before disabling the account immediately. In the future perhaps they can still allow access up until its deleted, just prevent them from being able to send messages/join servers and stuff.

Hey i have this problem now. The owner sadly passed away but since the server is just 13 people, discord suggests making a new server, which i refuse to do out of respect. I understand the other requirements however, but not the size

so sorry for the loss. in my case, my main acc was locked out due to 2FA and i cannot retrieve it. i was furious about it but the only option i have is to now get leadership to my 2nd account in the server which is an admin. but just because the server is "small" they are asking me to make a new one but this server contains over 3years+ of content, me and my friends cannot just abandon it.
