Send an invite to download Discord and join my server

All the info I can find shows how to invite people to my server who already have a Discord account but I want to invite friends and relatives that do not have a Discord account to download Discord and join my server at the same time. This would save them a lot explanations of how to use Discord to join my server right away, before they start learn to use the program. Can I send them an e-mail with a link that will do this?
