2FA Lockout Recovery
There has been many people that have lost access to their accounts because they, for whatever reason, lost access to their 2FA codes (I myself including after my phone broke and I apparently forgot to get the backup codes (and I forgot I had 2FA on)). It has been a few weeks since my lockout and I've been trying to find out if I did happen to save my codes somewhere, but I have been trying to get my suggestion out there.
Noticing how Discord allows you to add both your email and your phone number to your account, I thought why not have a option for people who have lost their codes to get codes via email/text so that they may recover their accounts? Just so we are clear I am not talking about replacing the current 2FA system that is in place, I am recommending a way for people who end up in this unfortunate situation to be able to get their accounts back.
I really hope something like this becomes reality for Discord, I for one know that I'd like to see my friends and Discord servers again and I am sure that others who have been locked out of their accounts would too.

I'll try it Dizzer but if it goes to the support team they have already went and said at the current stage there is nothing they can do. And that is why I am giving this idea for them to provide a way for people like myself to get codes through email or phone so that we may get back in. I'll try though.

I'm completely agree with what you've said. Actually I also can't get access to my account not because i didn't save backup codes, but I didn't know that they were single-use, therefore, since I had problems with my authenticator app, I used to log into my account using them. Now I've used all my backup codes and my account is blocked. Discord should add a system to do 2FA in another way, maybe through SMS or emails, but it has to do something to solve this problem because it's unaccetable loosing an account due to a method that should avoid account's loss.

Agreed I lost my account due to broken phone but I had my number linked to the account but when I tried to sign in with my phone number it created an new account and removed my phone number linked to my original account and linked it to the new
