Channel Moderators
It would be great if you could assign specific roles that are channel-specific and only apply to one channel. That way, you could designate a channel moderator, where they have complete control over all permissions of just one channel, instead of allowing them permissions over all channels. This could include setting permissions for roles/who can see the channel, setting its topic, etc. I imagine this role would show as the top of the hierarchy for that channel specifically to indicate that they're a mod for that channel only. As a bonus, they could even receive a different color or symbol to show that they're the mod for just that channel (so this would only appear in that channel and not across the whole server)
Right now, if I were to designate a different role for each channel, they would not appear correctly in the hierarchy. For example, the mod of #channel1 would always be above the mod for #channel2, even if you're looking in the #channel2 list, so I'd like to see a feature where they're placed at the top in their specific channel where they have all privileges.
I would compare this to IRC servers, where there are operators in each channel, but those aren't the people that moderate the whole server, they just have complete control over their own channels.
As a bonus, the server owners could even choose if they want members to be able to create their own channels and become channel moderators, which would be cool (or if there's a role that's like "channel creator" that they could give to do this).
So overall, I think with a bit more work, roles could be enhanced to have an option to be more channel-specific!

I agree with this. I found this while searching up how to do exactly that. I have a new channel on my discord server that I would like to set someone up to be the moderators of only on that channel.
