What even happened to my account?
About a week ago I got free nitro from Epic on my account (the one I'm writing from now was one I didn't really use anymore, now I guess I will have to) just so I could use a gif profile picture. It's all good for a few days and then I start having issues with discord. My servers and friends are not visible and I just can't do anything in the app at all basically. My friend tells me "oh that happens sometimes it will fix itself just leave it". So I do that and start using discord on another account I have, the one I'm using right now.
Fast forward a few days and when I try to log back into my other account and see if it's fixed I get logged into a completely new, fresh account inexplicably. I never created this account under that email it replaced my actual one and I lost access to the actual one. I tried changing the email of the one that was created to something different to see if my email might still be linked to the old account somehow, it wasn't so now support just replies with "there is no email address linked to this account, you should double check your email address" ignoring the fact that I told them in comments that I was unlinking my email from this new account to try and see if it fixes the problem. Of course they aren't actually listening or investigating the issue they are just replying with whatever nonsense they can come up with to deflect the issue back on me and absolve discord of any responsibility.
It was the same username but different number ofc. I never changed anything with the account email of the one I was trying to access, I suddenly lost access to it the only thing that comes to mind is hacked but I really don't think so because I can still see the account in a server with the same name, same GIF I set as my avatar when I got Nitro, hasn't been online once since I lost access, hasn't deleted any friends or left any servers etc. you get it. Basically I believe this was just a massive error on discord's part and when I try to get support to help me out they can't do anything because my account is no longer linked to the email address I made it with and I have no idea what email it's now linked to if any.
What should I do? I have nitro subscription set to auto-renew on that account which I can't afford to keep paying I need to re-access this account I can provide proof that the bank account linked to the nitro subscription is mine, I can provide password I used for the account, I can go to various lengths to prove this account is mine but support doesn't want to hear it. All they say they can't do anything about it because policy and that I should double check my email like what does that even have to do with the issue? There is no email to double check I only used two emails to make discord accounts and one of them was for this one I'm using now which is still active and accessible to me, I know exactly which email I used to create the account I lost and support should be able to see that too why can't they view what email was used to create the account and used for most of it's time active to be able to see it's me?
