Discord Criticism/Feedback

hey i am new to the "forum" since i haven't seen the need to complain about Discord in the past.

So I wanted to ask if Discord has ever accepted or addressed criticism in the past?

I am currently really considering switching platforms looking at the current changes and how they are being handled.

I don't care about usernames, i just wanna understand the changes. In the current state there are like 0 pros and 10 cons in terms of the disciminator removal.

Old usernames were too complicated isn't an argument imo since people and bots will save every username with 5-6 letters when the rollout has ended. So every new user has to find a name like timmy49551 anyway or buy there desired name. 

I just wanna understand the reasoning behind the change @discord
