New username cannot contain "NITRO"

Hi I'm NITRO.

Since about a week I am entitled to choose a new username, but unfortunately it is not possible for me to assign a new username, because my nickname is NITRO for about 30 years. I guess since you also call your premium service Nitro it is now not possible to put this as part of the username.

Also like other users here, who can not change their username, because your restrictions are over the top and partly unnecessary, I can not change my username and refuse to give me a Leetspeek version of my nickname. I would be willing to use a prefix or suffix, but even this is currently not possible.

Fitting to this I would have the question, what happens if you don't change your username, will my account be closed or will I get a random username?

When I look at this feedback forum here I fear, however, there will never be a solution or even answer.

    Nitro is forbidden to stop scammers. Choose another name

    Yeah, Discord somehow decided that forbidding the use of the word “nitro” in the new usernames would stop people from scamming others, essentially screwing over anyone that’s used that name for literal decades. Even though none of the actual Nitro scams that got people had usernames using the word. 🙄

    Unfortunately, unless Discord smartens up and reverses this idiotic username change, you’re going to have to make an entirely new username for Discord alone and just have Nitro as your Display Name. (Or, you know, switch to Guilded or Revolt since you’ll be able to use your name there without issue.)

    You don't understand the Problem.

    I can't and will not change my name, before that, I'm waiting for my account to be closed.

    When Discord set one of they Service-Names to "John", no one can than use the Name "John", "John_Marshall", "John.Doe", "The_Great_Johnny" or over millions other normal options. That only to stop scammers is a very stupid reason and is not accepted from me, because NITRO is an typical nickname with many different forms on this planet. And when it is a good solution, why they don't use the same restriction here?

    I know about the Display Name option, but it not helps if some one look at my profile, reference to me or search me.

    I see your named alternatives and think Revolt looks promising.
