The Mass Reports Phenomenon and The Unfair account disabling
Hi, I've fallen victim to the mass reports phenomenon and my main account (which I used to create my Discord server) got disabled despite the fact that I haven't violated Discord's ToS. I'm pretty sure I've been mass reported by some users that took advantage of the situation to join my server and cause distress, pretend to be me, and text users while impersonating me.
I tried contacting Discord support and after days and days I succesfully got in touch with a Moderator, just for my issue to be blatantly ignored. I've been told that my server is not elegible for ownership transfer (and please note that there are no admins so nobody can actually ban these people), and my request to actually check the real reason behind my main account's deactivation has been straight up ignored.
I even notified the local authorities because in my country it's illegal to pretend to be someone else. I wish there was some way to actually get the Discord staff to notice me, but I'm starting to think that someone may be willingly ignoring my request to analyze the situation and reactivate my main account.
My question is: how am I supposed to manage the situation? Since Discord support won't ban these people, won't give me back my account (so that I can ban these people), won't disable the profile of the person who's impersonating me, won't reply to my tickets…
It's a shame that such a popular app like Discord doesn't actually offer support or isn't interested in building a system to avoid cases of identity theft and of mass reports. I would be happy to help make the Community safer.

Honestly man, the best thing you could do is to just to get in contact with friends (if you can) and tell them that your main got disabled and to add your new account, or just move to a discord alternative. I can't name any because people would think I am a bot just trying to advertise a alternative. Just if you do get a real reply, do not make another ticket or else you will be pushed to the back of the queue. Just alert anyone that could possibly make this case go faster.

Update: I've been told by a Discord mod that “volume of reports has no bearing on whether action is taken on an account”. Does anyone know if this is true?

“volume of reports has no bearing on whether action is taken on an account” means that no matter how much reports you get it does not effect your account or whether action is taken or not.

Yall may not want to name alternatives for fear of being labelled a bot but I couldn't care less. These reports are everywhere lately, and none of them have a happy resolution. Discord doesn't care. It's literally destroying itself from the inside out. I'll second the suggestion to get in contact with friends- please, everybody reading this, figure out some other way to stay in touch with the people you care about that isn't Discord, before these issues happens to you- and then offer my own suggestion. Revolt (https://revolt.chat/) seems very determined to make something to compete with Discord, going so far as to model recent updates in opposition to Discord's most controversial and disliked changes. It's a little rough around the edges right now but it is by far my favorite, for whatever that's worth.

Venexis I've just moved to Revolt and Matrix, but despite this my Discord server is still online and people are still able to join and text on it. That's awful because with no administration (except for the automated moderation) everyone has free will and it can easily become messy. Anyways, I'd be happy to join if you have your own community on Revolt so let me know :)
Buffy I know what the statement means, I wanted to know whether it's true or not. If that's true it's basically implying that I have no possibility of appeal and that someone has planted “evidence” against me, whether by stealing my token or by doing it manually.

@... Unfortunately I have already tried to contact Discord support's team but they have shown how little they care about these indicidents. I have no way of proving my “innocence” and I don't think that's needed as they could easily check my account's actions/logs (and figure out that I have never done anything that I've been accused of). Anyways I have explained my situation in depth, also attaching the Messages link where this person impersonates me and they didn't care at all. Not even the in-app report was useful.

Ludo Sec I feel you. :( Unfortunately I don't have my own community, or know of any at the moment. Not really a management type myself; the thought of setting one up specifically for people alienated by Discord was tempting, but then it's gotta be moderated and all of that jazz- it's a commitment just a little beyond my capability to keep up with, lol. I can't imagine it'll be long before communities like that start popping up, though. I've been keeping an eye out myself- if anything looks promising, I'll no doubt start recommending that alongside the suggestions to switch services.

Dear Ludo Sec,
Yes, that is true. And Discord Support Team and Moderation Team are a headache to get in contact because they either willingly ignore your ticket or ever marked as “Resolved” even though the issue did not even got resolved. All i can say right now is it's a damn miracle if they ever replied to you.
Regards,
