How long can you wait until you can no longer appeal for a server transfer from discord support

I’m currently in a situation where a friend who left discord and handed over a server to me had returned and wants it back. It has been over 4 months since they gave the server over to me and I don’t want to give it back as the community see it better under my control. If my friend goes to discord support is it likely they will give it back to him even after 4 months?
