Request for Consideration: Server Ownership Transfer Criteria
Dear Discord Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback and request consideration regarding the criteria for transferring server ownership on Discord, as advised by the support representative.
I am a Japanese individual who relies on translation tools, so please excuse any shortcomings in my English expression.
Recently, I encountered a situation where the server owner of a community I am a part of announced their retirement and became unresponsive. Our server has a membership of 40 individuals, and although it is growing steadily, it may take some time to reach the 100-member threshold currently required for ownership transfer.
I understand that these criteria are in place to ensure security and prevent misuse, but I wanted to suggest the possibility of a more flexible approach. Perhaps considering factors such as the consensus of the majority of server members or the server's overall activity and history could be taken into account when reviewing ownership transfer requests.
I appreciate Discord's dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable platform, and I look forward to your consideration of this feedback. If there are any alternative solutions or best practices for managing this situation, I would be grateful for your guidance.
Thank you for your attention and support.
Best Regards,
Fujisawa
