Somehow, Discord support has been worse than Microsoft
Background, my Discord account and the associated email were hacked. I can't recover the account, I'm over it, I don't care about it, but I would like to see my old account permanently banned at least . It'll happen eventually from a chargeback anyway, but Discord should be able to ban it with the information I've already provided.
It feels like Trust & Safety cares more about bad words than they do protecting or recovering peoples' accounts. I've been trying to report (with IDs and URLs), the users involved, servers belonging to the hackers that are in violation of Discords ToS, messages from the hackers that are in violation of Discord's ToS, and direct links to actual verifiable malware being hosted on cdn.discordapp.com. It took days to even get a support person to confirm that the information was being passed onto Trust & Safety, and now I'm going through the whole process of being stonewalled again with new information because there's no support category to report such things, you just get told to use the in-app reporting method even though it's obviously not a real option in these scenarios. I have one friend who is ballsy enough to join the servers and submit the reports in my place, but who knows if that'll be acted on.
A huge typically unresponsive company like Microsoft was able to confirm that my old account was hacked, escalate it, confirm my identity, and permanently deactivate the account at my request in the same amount of time that it took Discord to even confirm that the information is being processed.
