Account was Hijacked. Reported it to Support, Trust & Safety hasn't Updated me and now the Hijacked account is banned/deleted
So on 11/4/2023 my account (Raven800#6665) was hijacked by a person posing as a friend of mine who was interested in getting into game design. The hacker took advantage of this and had asked me to “Try out a game they'd been working on and give them a review”. Usually I'd be suspicious of this but again, said friend was interested in getting into game design and I thought I'd help them out. I went to the website they linked me, I downloaded the "game" and ran it. After that, Discord restarted and the Hacker not only had access to my Discord account but every other account that was logged in on my browser which allowed him to access my email account, allowing him to change the email and phone number on my Discord account posing as me and giving false authentications to do all of this, then they took my email account and created a new Discord account with it (1raven800) and told me to log in with this account if I wanted to make a deal with him to get my account back. I didn't obviously because the deal was pay him up to $500.00 in amazon gift card bought through a shadey website. When I didn't comply he locked me out of the new account with 2 factor authentication.
I was able to warn as many people as I could about this person and reported my problem to Discord support, showing screenshots to show what had happened and the emails that I found in my trash folder showing how discord sent confirmation codes to this person posing as me and changing my email, password and telephone. I was given an automated message and told that my email address was connected to another account, that I needed to remove the email address from this new account before they can restore my old account. The automated message ended with “if you didn't make this new account, tell us through this email.” So I did. I was then told that my case was escalated to Trust & Safety.
A week went by without any word or update. In that time I had changed passwords on everything just to be safe, wiping my computer of the program and setting up 2 factor authentication on other accounts that I hadn't yet. A friend of mine said I should submit another ticket just to be safe, so I did. I was met with the same automated message and then told my case was escalated to Trust & Safety. 2 weeks go by. Now I'm getting reports from the friends that I warned about this person that he's going around trying to get people to go “try out his game”. I gathered as much evidence of this as I could from my friends taking screen shots and sharing them with me, then updating my status with these screenshots. I still got no response. Some friends that I couldn't get a hold of got tricked like me, others who were warned harassed him until he left their groups or unfriended them. Even with all these new developments, not a peep from Trust & Safety.
So I go to google play store and submit a negative review about the support system's lack of help in all this. I was told by a moderator to submit a ticket to support again for more information. I do…but I'm met with the same automated message and after explaining FOR THE THIRD TIME that I wasn't the one who made the new account with my email address I was told again that my case was escalated to Trust & Safety I was met with the same silence. It's been an entire month now of this person pupating my name while I'm trying to prove that I'm the ordinal owner of the account, even going so far as to show them a screen shot of the VERY FIRST EMAIL I received back in August 14, 2016 when I first created my account. EVEN WITH ALL OF THIS EVIDENCE I've heard nothing back.
Then last week a friend of mine tells me my account was deleted. When i try to log into it in an attempt to retrieve it I'm told that it was banned until 11/24/2024 with no update in my request ticket from ANYONE… but I can still receive password reset requests from the 1raven800 discord account to my email and can't do anything to log in because of the 2 step authentication the hacker put on it. I've tried @'ing Discord and Discord Support on Twitter and got no response, not I'm on this forum as a last attempt to try and get my account back. My patience is running thin and I'm beyond upset with how this has all been handled. I just want my account back.

Yeah I'm suffering from the exact same situation atm, 0 help from discord support and this situation is really stressing me tf out

I panicked as well and, but i did get seen eventually. Stay active on the fourms and keep discussing your situation. I think it helps

Dang that's a real scary situation I am also going through the same thing. However my account hasn't been marked as deleted so I'm a bit more relaxed however I've been waiting for a whole month and haven't heard a peep from discord trust and safety other than the original automated response from nelly telling me to free up my email. After i waited 2 weeks for the email to free back up i haven't heard nada. But like Magmarock64 says keep at it I'm going to try the same and hope for the best

The same thing happened to me, and it took 2 months for them to respond. By that time, the account had been deleted. Anyone up for a GDPR class action lawsuit against Discord? Being unable to “clamp down” on our private data, in a timely manner, is a breach of laws. And this is happening to many people, without any recourse to correct the situation.
They've already been fined 800K by the French Data Regulatory body.

The exact same thing happened to me. I thought I was talking to an old friend, and was stupid enough to download their “game”. It immediately locked me out of my account and started going through my other logged in accounts, including all of my emails and even my mom's stuff that I had saved on my PC. They completely took over my Live account that I've already given up on getting back because Microsoft's account recovery is absolute garbage. It all happened so fast and I was panicking, but once I realized that it's basically a trojan on your PC, I turned it off and started putting out fires via my phone. So thankfully my gmails, Paypal, Amazon, etc accounts are all safe now. Though not before they managed to make some purchases with my Paypal (which I've already disputed). I had to call my bank just in case they got that information too, which lead to getting a new card. I even had to call my Internet and utility providers because everything was on that Live email. It was an absolute nightmare! The worse part is that all of these accounts, including Discord, had 2fa…
I have no idea if my Discord got banned, but I was able to warn my friends via text as soon as it happened, so at least people in my immediate circle were aware and demoted/removed me from any servers my account had privileges to. They told me that it wasn't long for the account become inactive. I even made a new account under a different email and tried to friend my original account and message them, but nothing. Same as the OP, they had made a new account under my gmail which I haven't tried getting into yet as I had already reported that happened to Discord Support and didn't want to muddle any of the investigation. But now I'm wondering if I should try to recover the password for the puppet account they created.
I've also only created the one ticket, which I only responded to about them creating that account, but so far there's been no response. I've been tempted to add more details to the ticket as I was panicking at the time I made it and probably could have described the situation more, but I heard that just pushes it to the back of the queue and I'm already losing hope of getting it back anytime soon, especially with the holidays coming.
So yeah, pretty bummed. All I want for Christmas is my account back. :(

Me too Celenas, man these hackers are real freaking lowlife losers and the lack of help we get really sucks, worst part for me is I don't even have alot of people on my hacked discord on other social media and I can't even warn them :( I'm a sitting duck and I'm worried because I'm quite a soft, nerdy person so the “game” thing would make a little sense for me, and alot of my friends or acquaintances are pretty kind and “gullible” people :(

Yup whole month gone. They don't even aknowledge theirs a major issue with discord terminating And censoring their users.
