Stuck in 2FA Limbo: Account Inaccessible, Support Unhelpful
I am writing to provide feedback on my recent experience with Discord support. I recently lost my mobile phone. I contacted Discord support and requested that they remove 2FA from my account so that I could regain access.
The support representative I spoke to was friendly and helpful, but they were unable to remove 2FA from my account. They told me that they could only remove 2FA if I had access to the backup codes, which I did not. but i had added my phone number as a backup. but when i try to login to my account to send 2fa code through sms it says reset password to login.
I understand that 2FA is an important security measure, but I was in a unique situation where I was unable to access my account without it. I was also unable to reset my password because the process requires 2FA.
I am disappointed that Discord was unable to help me in this situation. I feel that they should have offered me an alternative solution, such as allowing me to verify my identity through email or other means.
I would like to suggest that Discord consider implementing a policy that allows users to remove 2FA from their accounts in cases where they are unable to access their backup codes. This would provide users with a way to regain access to their accounts in the event of a lost or stolen phone number.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. My discord account will be deleted in 7 days because it has been more then 1.9 years yet i am contacting discord to resolve this issue.

Ask for your ticket to be escalated to trust and safety. They have the ability to remove 2FA
