Changing Nicknames

Could there be both a setting for letting users change their own nickname and another separate one for changing others?

  There is

  Change Nickname lets you change your own nickname

  Manage Nicknames lets you change other people's nicknames

  Unless you mean you need one for exclusively letting people change someone else's nickname but not their own (although I've never tested Manage without Change, so maybe that's how it works already)

  You can change your own nickname and other people nicknames in the server if you have the right permissions, but if you want to maybe recognize your friends without having permission to change their nicknames you can always add a description by clicking on their profile. Only you will see the description.
