Discord program should recognize custom URLs (such as dc.mydomain.com)
One of the biggest reasons why I don't like discord, is because it doesn't recognize web redirection, so I can't have my custom URL pointing to my server. I have my own domain and website sethioz.com and I'd like to have custom URL for my discord, such as discord.sethioz.com
discord is suppose to be for gaming communities mostly, but what kind of sense does it make that it doesn't allow custom URLs? In most games you're not able to copy paste the chat + who would remember some random sequence of numbers and letters just so that they can join your discord?
This makes no sense to me, so I'd like to just give them link like "discord.sethioz.com" which is easy to remember and type.
Obviously this works in web browser and people can join via browser, but when adding that into discord program itself, it doesn't redirect.
I'm sure lot of gaming communites own a domain and would like to have discord.mydomain.com rather than discord.gg/9KdkfklKDS that is nearly impossible to remember (unless someone has photographic memory), otherwise they have to screenshot the chat and then type those characters one by one. I find it very ineffective and annoying.
Hope this idea makes sense and will be implanted in the future.
