Fullscreen hides edges of window, can't see new message markers

Whenever I fullscreen on my second monitor, the edges expand beyond the edges of the screen, which makes the white markers for new messages disappear off to the left. It only happens with discord. Found others with this same issue in the 'other' feedback forum, but it's been there for 7 months with no moderator response.

I'm hoping it will get better visibility here. The quickfix offered in the other forum (deactivating hardware acceleration) did not fix the issue for me.
