Announcement Channel Type

The idea would be that, with the correct permissions, a user can add a type of channel to their server that is specifically designed to be an announcements-type chat where for normal users there isn't even a bar at the bottom for sending messages.

Instead, the channel is displayed like a series of modules. With the correct permissions, a user would be able to add posts to this channel similar to normal messages, but with special options like a header for the message, the ability to easily color portions of text, and maybe even the ability to change the font.

Users would be able to follow these channels and have these modules pop up in their own feed channels, similar to how it works already.

There could also be multiple types of modules that you could post in this type of channel, a simple text module (like the one displayed above), a poll module where users could give input (could be emoji based, similar to how reaction polls work now, except its more clean and polished), image modules to display a set of images, and possibly other things that I haven't thought of yet.
