Email address check need improvment for gmail account

I had someone registering a new Discord account with a gmail address I own.

My official gmail address is something like jeff.bezos@gmail.com (and it's the one I use for my own Discord account). The gmail policy is that the position or presence of the dot doesn't matter. This means I then own all address like j.effbezos or jeffbez.os or (as it was use for the new account) jeffbezos@gmail.com.
As I received the validation email on my personal box, I was able to cancel the new subscription without issue. And hopefully the new user will be more carefull with his email address.

Therefore, I suggest Discord take into account the gmail dot policy while checking new accounts for email addresses already in use in Discord.
