Feature Request: Kicks/Bans should not count against server retention numbers.
Please make it so that kicks/bans do not count against server retention numbers because it's both unfair to the Discord server community, the moderators, and the server owner to have to choose between keeping problematic members or maintaining good server retention numbers in order to obtain Partner.
For large Discords trying to obtain Discord Partnership retention numbers are super important, that's why giving any user the ability to destroy those numbers with a group of spam bots is extremely detrimental to Discord server owners. Additionally a server owner or moderator should not have to worry about hurting their chances of making Partner because they need to kick/ban a troublemaker, bot, or troll.
Server retention numbers are supposed to be a metric to how well you keep members interested in your community, kicking/banning people who do not follow the rules or are toxic for the community does not reflect this and should be excluded.

With the new partnership requirements, I agree! I think to avoid abuse, there should be a caveat to make it so it only doesn't count if you ban before they leave, but otherwise, yes please!

Fully agreed. One caveat. Toxic mods. They exist. Always have, always will. Especially server owners too in some cases.
If this feature were to be put in place, it would be good to balance it with another system that allows for some sort of proper complaint section. Something that can't ruin the server for everyone (easily at least) but still allows for proper review to take place if need be. I know I have had my fair share of assholes to deal with. Pretty sure they thought I was the asshole too. Kinda how that works, right?
I know this request is about bots, but this will eventually if not immediately affect real people too. Hence my little reply here.0 -
Our community goal is partner and while it's not an issue now due to organic growth on our part, we're afraid of this affecting our ability to obtain and keep partner as we reach a wider audience.
Thanks for bringing this up!

This should've been a thing the moment that member retention was tracked. Why should server owners be punished for removing problematic people from their server?
