"A petition for them to remove it". That's literally the message I got when I was using discord And at 3 days ago I had lots of tabs on doing other stuff, And decided to go back to Discord But that was when I had seen that pop-up message. I honestly don't know why discord had added that message, But They should really remove It cause It's frustrating a lot of people.
And again at that time when It happened I had the app and I had gotten a ping and clicked on It and brought me straight into the discord making me bypass the phone verification, But the only problem Is that when I clicked on servers to view messages It wouldn't load and it kept telling me "messages failed to load".
And another good reason why they should remove it is cause some people don't even have phones. And I think It's pretty dumb of Discord for assuming everyone that uses It has a phone. suggestion- They should add an Email verification.
And the thing Is I even contacted them as to why I had gotten that message and for them to remove it, And they said that they're not gonna remove the phone verification. And sometimes the staff would like take a week to reply and at other times they would just ignore you.
And I had to make an alt account and I don't even have my friends tag But I do have my server Invite but it's expired and there's no way for me to make a new one cause I'm locked out of my main account. And here's the feedback - "This feature is really irritating at least add an email verification or remove it completely. There are so many people out there who don't have phones.
And I have like 19 pings already and really want to see where it's from. (I can't even talk to my friends 😭) 
And If you see this message please leave a comment Cause I will reply to you, and I check my emails like 24/7.
And Also I don't even have a phone :(

they just disabled me for adding a phone number in....

Yo this shit hella stupid, I have a phone number but I only own a prepaid that I use to text and call some peoople and I haven't been using it for a while so I have no service

At least Twitter knows their mistakes, and they know not everyone has a Phone; when they lock accounts, you can appeal, telling them that you do not have a phone number…
Discord, however…
They refuse to remove the Something’s Going on Here screen, no matter what!
Even when you prove you don’t have a phone number…
And I didn't just have to make a new account with the same email, I had to use a completely different email, just to get onto Discord again, because my previous email was taken.
Once I got a iPad, I set up 2FA on my accounts, including Discord. I have a feeling though, that this will NOT protect me from the Something’s Going on Here screen.

So what I am getting, is that I'll have to delete my account beacuse it's screwed. This is full on BS. People with no phone can't work around it. Might as well go "Guess I'll die." Is there any way we can contact discord about this?!

Same issue I didn’t know what it was but for some reason my actual phone number doesn’t work either it just says invalid phone number eventhough it’s correct

Sjoinini, the issue is likely that you have either a landline, voip, burner, or prepaid number.

So I got this issue like a couple hours ago and I contacted discord support, this is what they came back to me with
(even if I stated I had nothing to use to get access to a number they still ask me for 1, so confusing, they really are just bringing there selves to there fall with this system thinking everyone has a phone, or a person for one. It is quite frustrating.)

Happened to me today for no explanation, my phone number wasn’t working and this was honestly freaking me out, fix your shit discord.

I was just chatting with people sending the same message to all of them when it just locked me out for no god damn reason.

Landlines should be compatible too! Telegram gives you a call and a voice mail with the code! This should be the same with discord!
