Hide Email in Account Settings

Countless hackers and scammers have been lurking on Discord, making their way into other people's accounts. Because they have access to the account, they can view the victim's email. Because you cannot change the address of your email in google the hacker or scammer can continue to harm the victims by messaging, blackmailing the user or even worse, hack their email revealing sensitive information. Currently, there is no option for hiding an email or censoring it for privacy. I find it important to have it added.

    I disagree.

    This is a bad idea, Users are responsible for keeping their own accounts secure, so the account info should be seen by the person using the account.

    Besides, even if Discord doesn't let users see their own email on their account, hackers could still cause harm by making them lose their friends, making people turn against them, read private DMS and more! So how should they prevent a hackers from also doing that? Answer: Users should learn account security and be responsible with their accounts, hiding user's emails on their own accounts won't prevent hackers from doing damage!

    I'm not trying to victim blame the users who get hacked as it's technically the hacker's fault, I'm just saying that users should be more responsible with their accounts and not let their accounts get hacked as I think accounts should keep info like that inside them.

    So instead of limiting features of other people's accounts because of accounts getting hacked, users should also protect their accounts too and be more responsible with their accounts and learn about account security.

    I actually agree with you, I believe users should take responsibility for their account, and an app that is 13+, users have enough maturity to do so. 

    I derived this idea from roblox, a game open to players under 13, therefore it has high levels of security. (knock knock, COPPA is here from Washington D.C.)  Reading your response I guess we shouldn't implement this.

    I think it should hide your email anyways because people may try to scam or spam the email put malware and such in emails and not all the users understand that anyone can email anything.

    I KNOW WHO THE HACKER IS WHO KEEPS HACKING MY ACCOUNTS. SHE STOLE SOME IMPORTANT MAIL WHICH HAD A LOT OF PRIVATE DATA. IT IS NOT ONLY ON DISCORD BUT EVERYWHERE. SHE IS HACKING ME BECAUSE I REFUSED TO GIVE HER AT FIRST IT WAS $2,500 THEN WENT UP TO $500,000. YET CALIFORNIA POLICE, COURTS OR SHERRIFS DO JOTHING EVEN WHEN SHE ADMITTED IT TO THEM!! EVEN WHEN SHE ADMITTED SHE IS A HACKER!!! I HOPE SHE HACKS THEIR SORRY SELVES AND PUT THEM THROUGH 15 YEARS OF HELL ABD TRY AND GET INTO THEIR ONLINE BANKING LIKE SHE HAS MINE.

    I DID ALL THE SAFETY MEASURES ONLINE BUT TO THESE HACKERS WITH "ANONYMOUS" WHICH ARE LOW LIFE CRIMINALS HACKING EKDERLY DISABKED PEOPLE ABD STEALING THEIR MAIL TO DO IT AS WELL NEED TO BE DEAD!! THERE IS NO SAFETY MEASURES AGAINST THOSE JERKS!!!!
