Self assignable roles

Most servers has bots to assign roles, but wouldn't it be handy to implement a way for admins to set up a way for users to add roles without bots? I think this feature should be natively implemented onto discord.

    Maybe like a new role setting? Something like "Anyone can get this role"?

    That's what the plan is.

    The manage roles setting can do this, but it causes problems as they have complete control over other people's roles and can also delete or add new ones, all below the role that gives them this setting, but still.
