Hide Stream Status
Currently, you can choose to not show people that you are playing any game at all, which is very useful in certain situations, and makes sense to promote privacy. However, with the new "Go Live" function, you cannot hide the notion that you're streaming /at all/
I would find it useful, for similar reasons to why I often hide game activity, if we could hide the "streaming a game" notion under our names in the userlist. Sometimes I like to stream in private channels or servers, and I don't really need people outside of those circles to be notified that i'm streaming, somewhere else, without them.

This would be very useful, I'd personally like to hide when I stream.

i would appreciate this feature as well

Come on discord devs, it's an easy feature ! :p
I'm working from home and can't stream a game without my work discord seeing it, think about us ! :P

Please, PLEASE, MAKE THIS A FEATURE.

And..... silence from Discord. Apparently they're hiding from us. ;)
Any ideas Discord devs? Is this something you'll be working on (safely from home)? Since Steam and Google Gmail can integrate this feature, it would only make sense for Discord to also include it so you're not bugged by someone while online without having to Block them.

This is pretty ridiculous

This MUST be an option!

Please make this an option

This is already implemented, but in a way that isn't really obvious.
If you're streaming in a voice channel, ONLY people with access to that specific channel will see that you're streaming. Everyone else without access to that channel WILL NOT see the 'Streaming a game" or "Sharing their screen" message.
I confirmed this with a private channel in one of my servers. Only people who had access could see the message while I was streaming, everyone else saw nothing

Have tested this too however the status will still appear in your friends list.
It does not display on the server, yes. But is still visible in other parts of the discord application.

There is a workaround, although not a convenient one:
1) Download Discord PTB
2) Create a second account
3) Join the server you want to stream on
4) Stream with your second account using the PTB
That way your main account is unaffected, if you still want to be available to some of your friends and you can stream at the same time.1
