friending with only username

i think it would be nice if u could add a friend by just their username

im trying to find a friend but i cant add them because they didnt tell me their tag and i dont have any other way to contact them

    So the reason they put tags is that there's a lot of discord users so maybe someone wants to put their user as CoolGuy for example. But the user is already taken so they added tags so 9,999 people can have that name. Sorry :(

    • This would not be a good thing because people can put the same name as a guy that you add only by name there and probably your request will go to all people who have the same name!
