phone verification acting up

so yes, i tried to remove the phone verification number to change it due to the old number no longer being mine

i entered another number, it sent a code to the number

as soon as i entered it, it said the code expired 

when i clicked resend, it said you're being rate limited

i did this again after 5 miniutes, same result

it expires no matter how fast i enter it

its been a day now and i've been locked out of my account

    AND I'M STILL LOCKED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT

    i messaged discord support but they couldn't help me yet
