ERROR "Something's Going on Here"
It has been over 24 hours I have been locked out of my Discord account with this problem. I, of course, created a ticket IMMEDIATELY. I get an immediate response that seems automated that does NOT answer my question or help in the slightest. Upon log-in, my account get's stuck on a screen that says, "Something's Going on Here. We've detected somthing out of the ordinary going on. To continue using Discord, WE WILL NEED YOU TO VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT." Okay... Sure... I click on the VERIFY BY PHONE link and punch in my phone number. Instead of receiving a verification code, my phone receives a text saying, "An existing Discord account is aready using this number. Please remove it before it can be used with a new account." .... Yes, it is in fact connected to AN account... In fact, it is connected THIS account! This is the ONLY Discord account I use, so WHY am I NOT getting a code sent to MY PHONE!? WHY would Discord NOT have an EMAIL VERIFICATION OPTION!? WHY would they not have an option to figure out what supposed account this number is connected to, so I can remove the number from it? Even though I am pretty sure this number is connected to only this ONE ACCOUNT I am CURRENTLY trying to get into! WHY does NO ONE RESPOND to these TICKETS!? WTF!?

Same here, like come on, it said to add a phone number, I did, but it said it was in use??? I only have one account like really???

This is happening to me rn I'm so worried because I'm a server owner with over 100 members and Idk what to do,, and i don't have a phone rn I'm planing on getting on but rn i don't have one so this is ridiculous. I'm over here asking for my friend's number bc Idk what to do. Discord fix this please you have 30 people who were or are struggling with this! Please fix this because Idk why it's asking for a phone verification

Same here. the last thing i did was changing my pfp to the one i have right now and then all of the sudden, this happened.

The same thing is happening with me - and where's the response from Discord???? I don't see any. This is a support forum isn't it!!!!!!!!!????? These issues have been going on for weeks!!!!!
PLEASE RESPOND - tell us what we need to do to resolve these issues.

My Alt account has 1 too, I decided to remove my phone number from my main account and put it here, and when i successfully continue on discord on my alt account, I decided to remove my phone number and put it back here, but it said "you are being rate limited" and I was confused and i decided to wait for a while, but then suddenly IT STILL POP UP "SOMETHING ORDINARY IS GOING ON" ANYWAY I VERIFIED IT BUT STILL SHOW IT ANYWAY! I LOST MY PHONE NUMBER ON DISCORD NOW, I CAN'T GET IT BACK NOW IS DISCORD LIKE SCAMMING ME?

I have exactly that. I think if you join servers en masse you will be blocked, because Discord thinks you are an alt.

DankDrink98 Same issue I made several accounts, they don't work. But I am not going to buy a phone, I am going to quit discord.
Discord is an app to talk and make servers on. I think there should be a email verification section and a phone verification section, and so that people will get to chose what verification they would like to use. Because people who don't have phones and would like to go onto discord and have fun, and chat can't. I know by me sending this message nothing will change, but I just wanted to say "If discord is a place for fun, then why can't anyone join, whether they have a phone or not? They can still verify there email to not look so 'sus.'

I am also very disappointed because like Sweet_N_Spicy I made an awesome clan with around 200 members and I worked very hard, an now for what? To realize I need a phone to be "happy"? Because I think what's going on, discord wants you to buy a phone, you now waste some money...then do it year after year, to make you annoyed. I am not sure why they don't have an email verification section.

Nvm I managed to get my dad's number and I am back into my account, but discord really needs to do something for the people without phones instead of just copy and pasting the same message and doing nothing about it.

I was on my discord account then suddenly the discord page reloads back to the login page, I try to log in but when I put in my user discord goes to a page saying "somethings going on here" I tried working it again on a new browser but the same thing happened. I don't have a phone and the only way for discord to "continue" is with phone verification, why don't they have email verification! I've been unable to log into my discord account for 2 weeks now and I've lost my other account this way as well.

why suddenely this pop up in my screen it happened when i first time ever been gifted 1 month nitro and i was changing my pfp now i hear pings and i see discord notifications but i cant contact them even tho i tried that out and i did it all i put phonw number not mine bcz obvisesly i dont have one like everyone else i put a number and i linked it into my pc gmail so its suppost to give me the code in my gmail but after everything i checked everywhere my gmail the phone gmail no sign for the code i didnt find it anywhere so if u can fix this or just remove this discord remove it there is no need uk that most people use disord bcz they dont have phone numbers at the first place and am one of them also if people want or can do this it has a glitch i saw on youtube someone did the same as me even on mobile one gmail one code very simple for him he put his number and everything then he opend his gmail didnt find any discord massege at all same with me it might be a glitch idk but discord plz plz plz fix it or just remove it bcz its not necessary at all u never wanted our numbers before gmail is enought so plz just remove it discord we love this app we have many friends on it that we cant contact them now which makes us feel bad plz discord we wanna continue use ure app and if i make new account i will lose all my friends and servers bcz idk their name tags and this problom dosent happen to all people so thats wierd am just saying to find way to fix that i cant stay alove without discord i wish u see this discord and help us use discord again bcz we really love it its the place where our lives registered on so plz dont let all this go away

I understand the logic, but it is clearly not thought through, of that anyone can create an email account, but also... not everyone does have a phone (myself included), and as such, locked out of account.

Yea... same problem with me.... i send many mails and i also gave support request here toooo... this is really bad.... discord should either stop this verification or they should fix this..... and when i try to verify no sms is coming too ..... and the only way to get through this is create a new account and forget all your friend and your own server too. this is a really bad situation especially for server owners like me

I just checked with my team, and upon review of your account, it appears that our detection system has triggered successfully and we will not be removing the phone verification requirement on your account. You'll be required to register a phone number to your Discord account in order to continue the use of it.
It's possible that our system detected that you were using a VPN or proxy that was shared with other bad actors, which is why our system flagged your account. However, for privacy reasons, we're not able to share the specifics of the inner workings of our system. Please note that this is a system requirement and you need a phone number in order to access your account.

(name of discord staff)The fact is that the last time that I used vpn it was because downloading discord and it was not for bad reasons at all. All I wanted was to access a beta game which was on another server. I used discord on my previous account for 1 year and I always followed the TOS. I don't still know why my account was disabled this is pretty much weird and the thing I hate is that there is only 1 way of verification and discord has to also add an emai verification for people who are not having a phone number. This is the only bad experience I had with discord team in a year.

I got locked out and i have 2 nitro codes already on the account has at least 500 spent on it due to discord being a pain for many i plan on leaving discord if this does not resolve in weeks i see many are sharing the same pain and many dont have anything else for discord that is why discord is very bad you send requests to discord they respond with random crap that does not help you in any way i give up and honestly you should too if you dont have a phone good luck i wish you a safe stay.

not only did it say something is going on here but everytime i made a new account in 1 day it happened. so heres what the hacker responded with (im material_blocks)
